Gateway CES/KART/MARRS Event Partially Rained Out |
| 4/14/08 - Madison, IL – For the second year in a row, mother nature was uncooperative
on what would normally be a beautiful Spring weekend in April. With temperatures
averaging 25 degrees below normal, a dedicated group of road racers endured near
freezing temperatures, high winds, rain and a little sleet, but somehow managed to get in at least one full day of road racing at the 1.6 mile Gateway International Raceway.
The PG Racing Championship Enduro Series (CES) and the KART/
Mid-America Road Racing Series (MARRS) held their annual combined event on April 11 – 13. This event always draws a strong contingent of laydown karts and the Controlled enduro classes had a large turnout. The poor weather forecast and unusually
cold and wet weather probably scared some entries away from this event that normally draws over 400 entries. >more |

Pole Award for TAG™ Pro Series |
4/9/08 - Chicago Karting Technology CKT is proud to announce the Pole Award for the TAG Pro Series run in conjunction with the Championship Enduro Series.
The Pole award is $100.00 for the pole winning driver if he is displaying a 4" CKT sticker on 2 sides of the kart.
The stickers will be available at each track. |

Badger Asking To Recycle Trophies |
3/21/08 - The BKC gives out a real trophy to each and every Kid Kart racer every week. The club has been doing that since the 90's and it's a HUGE success. The kids get out of their karts at the end of the race day and RUN to the registration building to get in the trophy line!
Since we average 20+ per week, that's a lot of trophies! As a non-profit club, this could potentially be expensive. So they have always been recycling used trophies and that works great! They make this happen by taking trophies of any kind - racing, bowling, baseball, darts, ... and they take off the tops and put on a go-kart and re-label the trophy. If any CES members have extra trophies that they no longer want, please bring them to a CES race and give to any Badger Kart Club member. Bob Vehring, Mike Weaver, etc... We will take those trophies and make sure they make it to our Kid Kart trophy person who will prep them and give them out to a 5- 8 year old KK racer at a BKC event. |

2007 Class Champions Awarded |
3/8/08 - The International Racing Association (IRA) held its annual awards banquet at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites located in Carol Stream, Illinois on March 8. Receiving awards on this evening were the top five point champions of each class from the 2007 racing season in the PG Racing Championship Enduro Series (CES) along with the top five from the IRA Pro Shifter Series. Awards were also presented from the River Valley Kart Club (RVKC) for their road racing series point champions.After being served a catered dinner, series flagman Earl Clement served as master of ceremonies for the awards presentations. First to receive their awards were the Novice.
